It is with a very heavy heart that we share the sad news that our fearless lead and founder of LPAH, Mary Ashburn has passed away.
Mary was an incredible force for animals and made a lasting impact on rescue efforts throughout Lee County, NC. Her dedication, compassion, and tireless work helped save countless lives. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and worked alongside her.
We are committed to continuing LPAH that Mary and her husband, Ed worked so hard to build. We believe the best way to honor her legacy is to carry on the mission she cared so deeply about.
At this time, we are currently seeking two-week temporary foster homes with no other pets to help some of the animals Mary and Ed lovingly cared for. If you can open your home for just 14 days, please complete an application at LPAH.org/foster.
If you would like to donate in Mary’s memory, you can visit LPAH.org/donate.
Thank you for your continued support of the rescue during this difficult time.
Welcome to LPAH
Lending Paws A Hand, Inc. (LPAH) is a recognized 501(c)(3) volunteer-run, nonprofit organization that seeks to save the lives of unwanted, at-risk animals in need throughout Lee County, North Carolina and surrounding areas. LPAH is a foster based rescue which means our dogs and cats are placed in a loving foster home while they wait to find their forever home.
TAILS ON TRAILS
We are excited to announce the launch of our Tails on Trails program. We recognize that everyone might not be able to adopt or foster, but still want the opportunity to be around dogs. The Tails on Trails program gives our dogs a much needed outing and helps us promote the dogs.
THEY LOVE US
Although knowing we are helping dogs, cats, and people is all the reward we need, it is always nice to get positive feedback about our work.
Check out our LPAH Alumni on Petfinder. These rescues would not be possible without support from donations and foster care.
Renee
Wonderful loving community of animal lovers who go above and beyond to save animals from animal control facility. Also go above and beyond to help educate local pet owners.
