Take a foster dog on an adventure! Lending Paws A Hand’s Tails on Trails program pairs members of the community with foster dogs for fun, enriching outings. Trips can last an hour or a half day and may include a hike, jog, leisurely walk, or simply exploring somewhere new together.

You don’t have to be a dog owner, or ready to adopt, to make a difference. Tails on Trails gives our foster dogs a chance to get out, exercise, experience new surroundings, and enjoy some one-on-one time with a new person. These outings also give our rescue valuable insight into each dog’s personality and behavior outside of their foster home. What we learn can help us better understand their needs and find the right forever home.

It’s easy to participate! We provide everything you need for a safe and successful outing with your canine companion. All you need to bring is your time and a willingness to have some fun.
